Each fall South Farm Research Center opens its laboratories and research centers to the public to share the fun and excitement of science and discovery. South Farm Showcase attracts thousands of families from across the state to learn about animal science, plant sciences, entomology, veterinary science, botany, biochemistry, and much more. Many student organizations and departments from across the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources showcase their interests with hands-on demonstrations to educate and entertain.
The research center is home to the Swine Research Center, the Beef Research Center, the Turf Center and the Horse Farm. These working farms are living laboratories for more than 1,500 students annually.
